Going vertical means more blades. More blades mean more area to capture the wind.
Kronos is determined to make the power of wind available to the people who need it, when and where they need it - be it land or sea. We design and build small, quiet Vertical Axis Wind Turbines (VAWT) that generate DC power, up to 1.5 kilowatts.
VAWTs are more efficient than horizontal turbines because they can automatically adjust to variances in wind speed and direction. They are quiet, simple to install and easy to maintain.
Agricultural Wind-4-Water System
For farmers and rancher, getting power to run water in remote areas can be challenging. Though solar panels are certainly an option, the upfront costs are substantial and viability of panels mounted on the ground can be at risk in remote locales.
The Wind-4-Water is a vertical access wind turbine combined with a solar panel that generates DC power which runs directly to a 6 volt pump, included with the system. The system is shipped complete with instructions on how to assemble and set it upright at your location. The tower is approximately 20' in height.
The Tower is bolted together on the ground. Placing a strap around the middle of the assembled tower and attaching a rope to the strap and your pickup hitch, you can pull the tower upright, with the turbine on top.
Mast-R Marine Wind System
UNPLUG! That's what the Mast-R is all about. This sleek, silent wind turbine mounts on your mast to let the wind in your sails power the comforts of your cabin. The Mast-R is permanently installed, so no more taking windmills on and off the stern. Unlike solar panels it requires no deck space - and will generate power both day and night.
Why dock if you don't have to? Mast-R connects with your existing power system through your voltage regulator that changes from generator power to wind power as need be. It's perfect for charters at anchor - instead of coming in and charging, get the boat cleaned up and ready with your own wind power.
The units are shipped with a simple mounting kit for installation in your marina.
