Agricultural Wind 4 Water System

The solution to pumping water where there is no electricity

No electricity to pump water to a stock tank? No problem!

Kronos Wind-4-Water System is designed with farmers and ranchers in mind, also devoloping nations. The system includes a Vertical Axis Wind Turbine, a 20 foot tower and a 1.6 gpm transfer pump. It produces 6 to 12 VDC of regulated power at wind speeds as low as 8 mph.

Kronos believes in the Vertical Axis turbine design for many reasons, but particularly for it's ability to automatically adjust to variance in wind speed and direction. With 40 blades spinning at 8 mph,the system is efficient and effective.

The turbine sits on top of a 20 foot tower constructed of powder-coated,or galvanized heavy-duty angle iron. Cross bars and foot plates add stability to the unit - The tower can be assembled with common toolswhich can be assembled by two people in less than 5 hours. No special permits or special tools are required- the system goes together with a couple of crescent wrenches and a rachet set.

The wiring for the transfer pump runs down the leg of the turbine and is protected by liquid-proof conduit.

The turbine is attached to the tower when assembly is completeWhen the tower is assembled but still on the ground, use the provided skid to elevate the top of the tower. Now you can attach the wind turbine. The wind turbine is attached in two sections, first the head mount and then the blades. Once the turbine is secure and all bolts have been tightened (During assembly, bolts should only be hand-tightened), you're ready to set it upright.

The tower is pulled up right with a pickup truckSet up & Pickup Truck Erection

Secure the base to the ground with stakes and brace with included 2 x 4's. Attach rope or chain to the eyebolts on the system, run them back to your trailer hitch on the truck.

Slowly - very slowly - move forward with the truck. As the tower begins to rise from the skid, take control of the guideline and bring the tower upright. Once the tower lands on it's feet, remove the guideline and chains and secure the base in its location.

Attach wiring to the pump and get ready to let the wind do it's work
